Wie mag inskryf

Enigiemand wat betrokke is by die skep, publikasie of produksie van die werk (met inbegrip van die handelsnaameienaar, -bewaker, agentskap of produksiemaatskappy). Werk mag nie deur meer as een onderneming ingeskryf word nie. Pryse word toegeken aan die onderneming wat ingeskryf het.

Advertensies mag slegs met die goedkeuring van die adverteerder ingeskryf word.

Die beoordelaars behou hulself die reg voor om nie ’n prys(e) in ’n bepaalde kategorie toe te ken indien die gehalte nie goed genoeg is nie.

Alle besonderhede en name moet korrek aangedui word, aangesien dit op die sertifikate en in nuusvrystellings gebruik word.

Algemeen

  • Alle werk in alle kategorieë, Oorspronklik Afrikaans uitgesluit), kan in enige van Suid-Afrika se inheemse Afrikatale wees, dus nie-Engelse tale.
  • Werk moet ten minste 70% in Afrikaans, Zoeloe, Xhosa, Ndebele, Swazi, Tsonga, Venda, Tswana, Pedi of Sotho wees. Inskrywings wat nie 70% in hierdie taal is nie, sal outomaties gediskwalifiseer word.
  • Alle inskrywings moes tussen 1 Augustus 2015 en 8 Augustus 2016 vir die eerste keer kommersieel aan ’n noemenswaardige gehoor in Suid-Afrika gepubliseer, bekendgestel of uitgesaai gewees het.
  • In gevalle waar veldtogte óór die bogenoemde tydperk gestrek het, m.a.w. as twee (2) dele daarvan byvoorbeeld vóór 1 Augustus 2015 gepubliseer/uitgesaai is, en drie (3) dele daarna, sal die hele veldtog steeds in aanmerking geneem word. In gevalle waar twee (2) dele egter vóór 8 Augustus 2016 gepubliseer/uitgesaai is en die res vir die tydperk ná 8 Augustus 2016 beplan word, mag dit nie ingeskryf word nie.
  • Inskrywings wat nie gepubliseer/uitgesaai is nie, sal nie in aanmerking geneem word nie. Die onus rus op die inskrywer om seker te maak dat alle inskrywings wel gepubliseer/ uitgesaai is.
  • Alle studentewerk wat in die betrokke tydperk by ’n geregistreerde opvoedkundige instelling geskep en by hierdie instelling ingedien is, mag ingeskryf word. Waar moontlik moet die student se werk deur die skool/kollege/universiteit ingeskryf word pleks van deur die individuele student self.
  • Alle inskrywings mag slegs eenmalig in die volgende drie (3) kategorieë ingeskryf word –Koerante, Tydskrifte en Plakkate; m.a.w. dieselfde toepassing/ uitvoering mag nie in verskillende kategorieë ingeskryf word nie.
  • Alle inskrywings wat in die kategorie Kommunikasieontwerp ingeskryf is, mag nie ook in die Vernufkategorie spesifiek vir Ontwerp inskryf nie.
  • Tensy anders vir ’n spesifieke kategorie bepaal is, kan slegs enkelstukke ingeskryf word. ’n Nuwe inskrywing moet vir elke stuk voltooi word. Byvoorbeeld, drie (3) onafhanklike plakkate vir dieselfde veldtog mag nie as een (1) inskrywing ingestuur word nie.
  • Die keerdatum vir inskrywings is 8 Augustus 2016. Geen laat inskrywings sal aanvaar word nie.
  • Elke deelnemer aanvaar volle verantwoordelikheid vir sy/haar inskrywing(s) en vrywaar Pendoring en die organiseerders van enige las jeens ’n derde party.
  • Die Prestige- en Umpetha-toekenning kan nie deur enige openbare-diens- en liefdadigheidsinskrywings of selfpromosionele werk gewen word nie.
  • Die invul van die inskryfvorm sal beskou word as die onvoorwaardelike aanvaarding van die reëls en regulasies van die Pendoring-reklametoekennings. Nie-nakoming sal outomaties tot die diskwalifisering van ’n inskrywing lei.
  • Die beoordeling van die Pendoring-reklametoekennings vind op ’n tyd en plek plaas wat deur die organiseerders bepaal word. Die beoordelaarspaneel bestaan uit ’n groep bedryfspesialiste.
  • Geen korrespondensie hoegenaamd sal oor die beoordelingsproses of die beoordelaars se beslissings gevoer word nie.

 

3.7   Voorbereiding van inskrywings

Die volgende riglyne sal jou help met die voorbereiding van en instuur van jou inskrywings. Maak asb. seker dat jy al die instruksies gelees het en as jy enige vrae het, tree asseblief met ons in verbinding.

Algemene riglyne word hieronder verskaf, gevolg deur bepaalde instruksies vir elke kategorie.

  1. Maak die lewe van die beoordelaars makliker. Jou inskrywing moet goed aangebied word, duidelik wees en maklik om te verstaan en moet beoordelaars help om dit ten opsigte van die beoordelingskriteria te verstaan: innovasie, gehalte van uitvoering, relevansie met betrekking tot die handelsnaam, teikengehoor en gekose medium.
  2. Alle werk word anoniem beoordeel. Verseker asb. dat daar geen verwysing na die agentskap op die inskrywing sigbaar is nie. Monterings, vouers, ens. mag nie enige agentskaphandelsname op hê nie. Indien nodig, sal die Pendoring-organiseerders hierdie handelsname verwyder of bedek.
  3. Volg die riglyne vir elke medium baie noukeurig en maak seker elke inskrywing is in die korrekte formaat. Televisie-inskrywings moet byvoorbeeld volgens die spesifikasies gelewer word – ’n laegehalte QuickTime-video sal nie beïndruk nie.
  4. Wees netjies. Sny en plak elke element van jou werk noukeurig. Los elemente skep ’n swak indruk.
  5. Alle inskrywings is enkelinskrywings, tensy dit anders aangedui word. Byvoorbeeld, plakkate vir dieselfde veldtog moet individueel ingeskryf word, nie verskeie as een (1) inskrywing nie. As verskeie stukke na die oordeel van die beoordelaarspaneel ’n veldtog vorm, sal hierdie inskrywings in een veldtogtoekenning saamgevoeg word.
  6. Kombineer veelvoudige elemente in een aanbieding op stewige karton. MOENIE skuimbord gebruik nie. Gebruik dun stewige karton van tot 800 gsm en ’n maksimum grootte van A2. Dit is verkieslik bo ’n inskrywing wat in boek- of veelvoudige bladsyformaat opgebou word. Indien nodig, kan jy ook meer as een karton gebruik. Heg die inskryfetiket aan elke bord en merk die kartonne duidelik as bv. “Bord 1 van 6”, “Bord 2 van 6”, ens. Gebruik, waar nodig, ’n kombinasie van grafiese materiaal en geskrewe beskrywings in die samestelling van die karton.
  7. DRUK EN HEG JOU INSKRYWINGSETIKET AAN DIE AGTERKANT VAN ELKE INSKRYWING. Nadat jy jou aanlyninskrywing voltooi en jou inskrywingsetikette gedruk het, heg asseblief die regte etiket aan die agterkant van die ooreenstemmende gedrukte inskrywing. Indien jou inskrywing uit meer as een stuk bestaan, heg asseblief die etiket aan elke stuk, en merk die stukke Deel 1 van 4, Deel 2 van 4, ens. MOENIE JOU NAAM OF AGENTSKAPSHANDELSMERKING TOON NIE.
  8. Digitale inskrywings. Dit is baie belangrik dat die beoordelaars die konteks van digitale inskrywings verstaan. Dis die beste om ’n landingsbladsy te skep waar die inskrywings verduidelik word voordat die beoordelaar die inskrywing beoordeel. Begeleidende inligting (walk-through) kan verskaf word, asook ’n rolprent wat die inskrywings verduidelik. Veral met ingewikkelde digitale inskrywings, soos mobiele of kiosktoepassings, moet ’n elektroniese rolprent gestuur word om die toepassing te verduidelik. MOENIE borde stuur nie, aangesien alle digitale inskrywings elektronies en afsonderlik beoordeel word.
  9. Wys logo’s of handelsname in konteks. Byvoorbeeld, wanneer ’n logo-ontwerp ingeskryf word, moet die finale logo tesame met ’n verduideliking en ondersteunende grafiese materiaal ingedien word om die logo in konteks te verduidelik. Grafiese verwysings kan ook ingesluit word om die ontwikkeling van die logo te verduidelik.
  10. Geen lewende aanbiedings sal tydens die beoordelingsproses toegelaat word nie.
  11. ENKEL-INSKRYWINGS – moet individueel ingeskryf word. Drie (3) plakkate wat deel vorm van 'n veldtog, moet as individuele inskrywings ingedien word, nie as een (1) inskrywing nie. As die beoordelaars glo verskeie stukke vorm 'n veldtog, kan dié inskrywings in een veldtogtoekenning saamgevoeg word.
  12. GEÏNTEGREERDE INSKRYWINGS 'n minimum van drie soorte media word vereis (bv. televisie, buitelug, digitaal). Verskaf asb. ’n oorsig van jou veldtog as ’n samehangende inskrywing – moenie slegs veelvuldige elemente indien nie. Gebruik, waar nodig, borde en/of video om jou veldtog aan te bied en verskaf ’n geskrewe beskrywing om die beoordelaars te help om jou inskrywing te verstaan.
  13. AS JY VIDEO GEBRUIK, kan jy ’n kombinasie van materiaal van die oorspronklike inskrywing asook agtergrondinligting op die video verskaf of bykomende inligting op borde insluit.

Alle video-inskrywings moet tot ’n tydsduur van twee (2) minute geredigeer word.

  1. Ons beveel aan dat ’n geredigeerde weergawe van 30 sekondes ook verskaf word vir die toekenningseremonie – volg asb. die voorbereidingsriglyne vir TV, rolprentteater en video.
  2. INDIEN VAN KLANKLÊERS jy kan ondersteunende klanklêers saam met jou inskrywing indien (soos radio-advertensies). Volg die radio-voorbereidingsriglyne vir alle klankinskrywings.
  3. SLUIT ALLE NODIGE VERTALINGS IN – Alle nie-Afrikaanse inskrywings moet vergesel word van vertalings. Dit kan 'n geskrewe vertaling wees of onderskrifte moet in die geval van video of klanklêers gebruik word. Sluit die nodige verduidelikings in sodat die beoordelaarspaneel die konteks van die vertaling kan verstaan.

LET ASB. DAAROP DAT DIE TEGNIESE VEREISTES VAN INSKRYWINGS IN ENGELS GEHOU WORD OP GROND VAN TERUGVOERING UIT DIE BEDRYF.

TELEVISION/CINEMA/VIDEO COMMUNICATION

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REPLACEMENT MATERIAL, so please make sure that the version you

uploaded or sent to us is the correct and final material.

These instructions apply to all TV, Film & Video material. PLEASE NOTE: NO OTHER FORMATS WILL BE ACCEPTED IF YOUR FILES ARE NOT SENT IN THE CORRECT FORMAT YOUR ENTRY MAY BE REJECTED!

TRANSLATION – All non-Afrikaans entries must include subtitles. Include any necessary explanation for the judging panel to understand the context of the translation.

SINGLE ENTRIES must be entered individually. For example, three TV ads that are part of a campaign theme must be entered as individual entries, not all as one entry. If, in the opinion of the jury, several pieces constitute a campaign, then these entries will be combined into one campaign award.

DO NOT PLACE YOUR NAME OR YOUR AGENCY BRANDING ON YOUR ENTRY. All work is judged anonymously; you must ensure that no reference to your agency is included on the entry.

NB: SUPPLY A 30 SECOND EDIT – We recommend that all long format entries (videos over 30 seconds) should be accompanied by an additional 30 second edit, which can include a voice-over. This will be used on screen at the awards ceremony should your work win. If no edit is received, the original video will fade in and out on the screen at the awards.

Larger sizes can be submitted if supplied with an original tear-sheet to show that it was published at that size.

Tactical Print – All tactical print entries should include the original media (or a copy). You may also provide additional information explaining the entry.

Posters – DO NOT MOUNT POSTERS – SUPPLY AS UNMOUNTED PRINTS. Posters should be send flat – please do not use poster tubes as the work gets damaged easily.

Print Crafts – Crafts must be entered as per the specs provided for that specific media type, i.e. a magazine craft entry cannot be submitted the size of a poster, but must follow the magazine guidelines provided. This applies to all Craft entries.

SINGLE ENTRIES – must be entered individually.

PROVIDE JPEGS OF YOUR WORK – MAXIMUM OF TEN (10) JPEGS

You must provide Jpeg files of your work to be used on screen at the awards ceremony, should your work win.

NOTE: YOU MUST STILL SUBMIT PHYSICAL ENTRIES FOR JUDGING, AS PER THE GUIDELINES ABOVE.

DIGITAL & INTERACTIVE COMMUNICATION

All Digital entries must be submitted as Internet URL’s or in a video format – NO BOARDS OR PRINTED MEDIA WILL BE ACCEPTED.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REPLACEMENT MATERIAL, so please make sure that the version you uploaded is the correct and final material.

LANDING PAGE – It is very important that the judges understand the context of digital entries. It is best to create a landing page, where the entry can be explained before the judge reviews the entry. DO NOT put video links on the landing page, but rather upload it via our online entry system.

VIDEOS – A video can be provided outlining the entry. Especially with complex digital entries, such as mobile or kiosk applications, send an electronic movie showing and explaining the application. Videos should be provided as high-resolution .mov files rather than online videos. This is because winning entries will be displayed at the awards ceremonies and online videos will not have enough resolution.

Overview videos must be a maximum of two (2) minutes long and we recommend a 30 second edit is provided for the awards ceremony please follow the TV, Film & Video Preparation Guidelines.

WEBSITES AND MICROSITES – On the entry form, you have an opportunity to provide a website address for your entry. Websites and Microsites must have URL’s provided; you can still submit a video as supporting material.

ONLINE ADVERTISING & EMAIL MARKETING – the original work needs to be submitted with the entry. You can still submit a video as supporting material.

COMMUNICATION DESIGN

Multiple elements may be presented using boards and/or video.

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REPLACEMENT MATERIAL, so please make sure that the version you uploaded or sent to us is the correct and final material.

  1. IF USING BOARDS, USE A2 BOARDS FOR MULTIPLE ELEMENTS. Combine multiple elements into one presentation on thin, stiff board up to a MAXIMUM SIZE OF A2. DO NOT use foam board. This is preferable to building an entry up in a book or multiple-page format. You can also use more than one board if your entry requires this, attach an entry label to every board and label each board, Board 1 of 6, Board 2 of 6, etc. Use a combination of imagery as well as written descriptions wherever necessary to make up your board.

            PRINT AND AFFIX YOUR ENTRY LABEL TO THE BACK OF EACH ENTRY. After you've 

            completed your online entry and printed your entry labels, please tape the correct label to the

            back of the corresponding print entry. If your entry consists of more than one piece, please

BRAND IDENTITY & COLLATERAL DESIGN

Logos – Show Logos in context. When entering a logo design, preferably do not just send the final logo, add supporting imagery showing the logo in context. You can also include graphical references showing the evolution of the logo. Remember, provide as much information as necessary to assist the judges in understanding your entry.

Identity Programmes – Show all elements of the brand identity and provide as much information as necessary to assist the judges in understanding your entry. Include original material where relevant. Use boards for multiple elements. 

Posters & Billboards – Only submit un-mounted posters. Submit images of billboards showing the material ‘in-situ’ where possible.

Direct & Promotional Mail and General Collateral – Whenever possible, please send the actual piece, unless of course it is too large. If you cannot send the original, please send images and appropriate descriptions on one or more boards. 

Package & Industrial Design – Whenever possible, please send the actual piece, unless of course it is too large. If you cannot send the original, please send images and appropriate descriptions on one or more boards.

Publication Design – Whenever possible, please send the actual piece. If you cannot send the original, please send images and appropriate descriptions on one or more boards.

DESIGN CRAFTS – Please supply all flat media un-mounted (e.g. Posters). If the craft is on media such as packaging or a publication, please check the relevant guidelines provided for that category – and always supply the original where possible.

LIVE EVENTS, ACTIVATIONS

Physical entries will NOT be allowed for i.e. Live Events, Live Activations, and Live Crafts. You can submit a video OR a jpeg presentation but not both.

STREET-POLE ENTRIES: If one communication is executed across several elements then the combination of the elements are considered one (1) entry - DO NOT ENTER EACH BOARD AS A SINGLE ENTRY ENTER ALL THREE AS ONE (1) ENTRY.

SINGLE ENTRIES – must be entered individually. For example, three posters that are part of a campaign theme must be entered as individual entries, not all as one (1) entry. If in the opinion of the jury, several pieces constitute a campaign, then these entries will be combined into one campaign award.

Multiple elements may be presented using boards and/or video.

  1. IF USING BOARDS, USE A2 BOARDS FOR MULTIPLE ELEMENTS. Combine multiple elements into one presentation on thin, stiff board up to a MAXIMUM SIZE OF A2. DO NOT use foam board. This is preferable to building an entry up in a book or multiple-page format. You can also use more than one board if your entry requires this, attach an entry label to every board and label each board, Board 1 of 6, Board 2 of 6, etc. Use a combination of imagery as well as written descriptions wherever necessary to make up your board.

            PRINT AND AFFIX YOUR ENTRY LABEL TO THE BACK OF EACH ENTRY. After you've 

            completed your online entry and printed your entry labels, please tape the correct label to the

            back of the corresponding print entry. If your entry consists of more than one piece, please

            affix a label to each piece, and mark the pieces Part 1 of 4, Part 2 of 4, etc.

INTEGRATED CAMPAIGNS

WE WILL NOT ACCEPT REPLACEMENT MATERIAL, so please make sure that the version you have uploaded or sent to us is the correct and final material.

Please provide one overview of your campaign as a cohesive entry – do not simply submit multiple elements. Use boards/Jpegs and video where appropriate, and provide written description to enable the judges to understand your entry.

Multiple elements may be presented using any combination of boards, Jpegs, video and audio.

a. IF USING BOARDS, USE A2 BOARDS FOR MULTIPLE ELEMENTS. Combine multiple elements into one presentation on thin, stiff board up to a MAXIMUM SIZE OF A2. DO NOT use foam board. d. SUBMITTING AUDIO FILES   you can provide supporting audio files with your entry (such as radio commercials). You should follow the Radio preparation guidelines for all audio submissions.

 

NB: We will not assemble campaign entries with materials entered into other categories.

 

IMPORTANT: If you are entering a television spot that will be in both a television category and integrated campaign, you must send a copy for each entry with the respective labels.

 

STUDENT AWARDS

 

All entries in the Student categories can be checked against the related guidelines in the professional categories.

 

Student entries must be produced from work set by educational institutions based within South Africa.

 

REMEMBER: The judges are looking at many entries – where necessary provide additional information to help them understand your entry in terms of the judging criteria: Innovation, Execution, Relevance to the Brand, Target Audience and Chosen medium.

 

All OTHER CATEGORIES

3. 8 Wetlike aspekte (Bepalings en Voorwaardes)

Inskrywings vir Pendoring: Alle inskrywings is onderworpe aan die reëls van die Pendoring-reklametoekennings. Pendoring behou hom die reg voor om geskrewe bewys van die oorspronklike publikasie-/bekendstellingsdatum, asook van alle vereiste toestemming te vra. Die besluite van die beoordelaars gedurende beoordeling, met inbegrip van kwalifikasies en kategorieë, is finaal. Daarna is die besluite van die direksie van die Pendoring-reklametoekennings bindend.

 

Enige advertensies wat onttrek word, of wat deur die Gesagsliggaam vir Reklamestandaarde (ASA) afgekeur word ingevolge sy Kode vir Reklamepraktyk, mag nie ingeskryf word nie. Dit is die verantwoordelikheid van die deelnemer om sodanige werk te onttrek.


Eienaarskap van inskrywings: Alle materiaal wat ’n inskrywing vergesel of deel daarvan vorm, word die uitsluitlike eiendom van Pendoring. Pendoring besorg geen items wat ingeskryf word terug nie en sal ook nie verantwoordelik wees vir enige verlies of skade nie.

 

Lisensie: Deur ’n inskrywing in te stuur, gee die deelnemer Pendoring en sy agente ’n onherroeplike, tantiemevrye, nie-eksklusiewe lisensie wêreldwyd om die inskrywing in enige publikasie, advertensie, bemarkings- of promosionele materiaal (met inbegrip van televisie- en radiostasienuus of ander programme met betrekking tot Pendoring) te gebruik vir die uitsluitlike doel om Pendoring te bevorder, deur enige metode wat Pendoring verkies, met inbegrip van en sonder beperking in die gedrukte, elektroniese en uitsaaimedia.

Die deelnemer gee Pendoring ook toestemming om die inskrywing te vertoon, te kopieer en te speel op ’n bepaalde tyd wat deur Pendoring as toepaslik en geskik geag word. Pendoring behou hom die reg voor om enige inskrywings vir opvoedkundige en verwysingsdoeleindes beskikbaar te stel, met inbegrip van elektroniese uitgewery. As enige televisie- of radiostasie instem om ’n nuus- of ander program met betrekking tot Pendoring uit te saai, stem die deelnemer in om alle toestemming te verkry en om talent of ander oorblywende koste vir die insluiting van die inskrywing in die program, indien nodig, te absorbeer.
 

Waarborge: Deur ’n inskrywing in te stuur, waarborg die deelnemer dat hy/sy daarop geregtig is om bogenoemde lisensie toe te staan en dat al die nodige toestemming, gebruiksreg en kwytskelding van morele regte van alle derde partye wat tot die inskrywing bygedra het of opdrag daarvoor gegee het, bekom is, met inbegrip van en sonder beperking deur die adverteerder wie se goedere of dienste deur die inskrywing bevorder word, vervaardigers, regisseurs, fotograwe, illustreerders, kunstenaars, tesame met die eienaars van enige handels- of diensmerke wat geregistreer is of nie, wat by die inskrywing ingesluit is of deel daarvan vorm. Die deelnemer waarborg ook dat die erkenning en inligting in die inskrywings waar en korrek is en dat die publikasie van genoemde erkenning en inligting nie inbreuk sal maak op die morele of ander regte van die deelnemer of enige derde party nie.

 

Vrywaring en nie-aanspreeklikheid: Die deelnemer stem in om Pendoring te vrywaar en skadeloos te hou teen enige koste, uitgawes of skade, met inbegrip van hofkoste en redelike prokureursgelde wat kan voortspruit uit die verbreking of beweerde verbreking van bogemelde uiteensettings en waarborge. Die deelnemer stem in dat Pendoring nie aanspreeklik sal wees nie vir enige verlies of skade wat kan voortspruit uit handelinge of weglatings deur die deelnemer, met inbegrip van, maar nie beperk nie tot die betaling van enige geld wat aan belangstellende derdepartye verskuldig is.

 

Reg om Inskrywings te Onttrek en te Verander: Pendoring behou die reg voor om, in sy uitsluitlike diskresie, enige inskrywing te diskwalifiseer/onttrek, te verander of na ’n alternatiewe kategorie te skuif.


Geen terugbetalings vir inskrywings of kaartjies na die galageleentheid: Onder geen omstandighede sal terugbetalings aan deelnemers gedoen word nie. Die inskrywingsgelde is bestem om die koste van administrasie, verwerking en die beoordeling van die inskrywing te dek. Dit sluit kaartjies na die galageleentheid in.


Verandering: Pendoring mag, in sy uitsluitlike diskresie, hierdie ooreenkoms of enige deel daarvan te eniger tyd en sonder kennisgewing verander.
